ANNOUNCEMENT – TOWN OF COBALT – PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT

Aaron Williams has accepted a new role as Public Works Superintendent with the Town effective June 14, 2022.

Town Council decided to restore a more traditional structure of having a Works Superintendent who is a member of management. This followed 2 years where the Town had a Letter of Understanding with the Union to evaluate a structure which had a Working Foreman, who was a member of the Union, and not a member of management.

Aaron has been with the Town for 12 years. In the last 2 years his duties were expanded from an equipment operator role to a combined administrative role. Our current Working Foreman will be returning to the Equipment Operator role he previously held. The workforce numbers remain the same.

This announcement followed an internal competition for the position as Council wanted to promote from within, whereas Aaron was the successful candidate. Town Council is pleased to make this announcement and wish Aaron all the best in his new role.
