Please note that the Town of Cobalt Office will be closed on Monday, November 11, in recognition of Remembrance Day.
Honouring Remembrance Day
Every November 11, Canadians unite to remember and honor the sacrifices of our armed forces. This day marks the armistice that ended World War I in 1918, symbolizing peace after a devastating conflict and paying tribute to those who defended freedom.
At 11:00 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, we observe a moment of silence to remember those who laid down their lives, those forever changed by their service, and those who continue to serve. Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the courage and commitment of those who have served, inspiring gratitude and respect for their contributions to peace.
The office will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, November 12.
Lest we forget.
