HYDRANT FLUSHING
Flushing of fire hydrants has begun in the Town of Cobalt.
This is something that the Town does to remove iron that may have settled in the watermains, and as preventative maintenance on fire hydrants.
Residents could experience some discoloured water, but water quality is not affected by this colouration. If you encounter discoloured water, simply flush the cold water tap for up to 15 minutes to clear any remaining discoloured water from your pipes and fixtures. Other household cold water taps can also be flushed to ensure no discoloured water remains in the plumbing for your home.
